The Imo police command says it has killed four suspected kidnappers in Ezioha, Eziama community in Mbaitoli LGA of the state.

In a statement on Monday, Henry Okoye, the police spokesperson in the state, said the operatives also arrested five other suspects and recovered explosive devices, eight motorcycles and communication equipments during the raid on Sunday.

Aboki Danjuma, the commissioner of police in the state, reiterated the command’s resolve in protecting the lives and properties in the state.“The Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, and other service commanders conducted an assessment of an ongoing operation in Ezioha, Eziama autonomous community, in Mbaitoli LGA, targeting an ESN camp responsible for violent attacks and kidnappings in the region,” the statement reads.

“During this operation, security forces successfully neutralized four suspected terrorists and arrested five others following a protracted gunfight with the terrorists.“In addition, eight motorcycles, several dangerous weapons including explosive devices, and communication equipment linked to IPOB/ESN members were recovered.
