To ensure that youths are well-educated, a non-governmental organisation, the Light Givers Foundation (LGF), has awarded scholarships to 10 indigent students in Anambra from secondary school to university level.[ad] Secretary of the foundation, Dr. Onyinye Okeke, said beneficiaries were students of Abbott Girls Secondary School, Ihiala, Anambra.

Okeke said 45 indigent students took part in the examination where 10 came out tops and qualified for the scheme worth millions of naira. LGF Founder, High Chief Stanley Obodoagwu, encouraged the students to be more committed to their studies and pursue their ambition to attain greater heights. “This is also part of a series to mark the obsequies of my father, late Eugene Obodoagwu, a business tycoon, and in fulfilment of his promise to offer scholarship to 10 indigent students from secondary school to university level,” he added.
