Former Senate President Bukola Saraki hosted Senator Samuel Anyanwu at his Abuja residence on Monday. Anyanwu, the former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party , visited Saraki, who led the Senate from 2015 to 2019. Saraki shared details of the meeting in a post on social media platform X on Tuesday morning. “It’s just a few months shy of 10 years since our inauguration in 2015—yet our camaraderie remains strong.
It’s always a joy to reunite, catch up, and enjoy each other’s company. I appreciate them all for honouring my invitation,” Saraki wrote. The development comes amid an ongoing leadership dispute within the PDP. The party’s National Working Committee , Board of Trustees , and governors have recognized Sunday Ude-Okoye as the legitimate National Secretary, rejecting Anyanwu’s claim to the position after an Appeal Court ruling.
