The member representing Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency, and former governorship candidate on the platform of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Edwin Nwonu, has left the party
, and now contesting to retain his seat at the lower chamber of the National Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance .
In a chat with The Guardian in Abakaliki, Nwonu noted that, though his candidacy is being challenged at the Supreme Court, he is sure of victory, adding that he is the best candidate in his constituency. He noted that his track record and achievements at the National Assembly are testaments that he deserved another tenure.
