Edozie Njoku, a former factional National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has formally left the party and joined the National Rescue Mission (NRM) as their new National Chairman. Njoku's appointment followed a national convention in Abuja and Isaac Chigozie Udeh's resignation from the NRM National Chairman position. Udeh accepted the role of National Organizing Secretary.

A former factional National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA , Edozie Njoku , has officially left the party. Njoku has assumed the role of National Chairman for the National Rescue Mission , NRM , following a national convention held in Abuja on Friday. The former APGA leader was elected as the new National Chairman of the NRM after Isaac Chigozie Udeh resigned from the position during the convention.

Udeh stepped down to take on the position of the party's National Organising Secretary. DAILY POST previously reported on Njoku's concession of defeat, stating that he would adhere to the judgment recognizing Sylvester Ezeokenwa as the National Chairman of the party. This followed the Supreme Court's recognition of the Ezeokenwa, Victor Oye-led faction of the party, backed by the Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo.Speaking to the press after his emergence as the NRM National Chairman, Edozie expressed his commitment to leading the party to new heights ahead of the 2027 general election. He stated, 'We have now gained a larger platform, a national platform, to effectively express ourselves and turn all that victory, that grand rhetoric we've been using, into reality as a political party. Most people in Nigeria are aware of the challenges we faced within APGA, and we thank God for this opportunity.'Regarding Chigozie's stepping aside for him, Njoku said, 'I am truly humbled. Today, I witnessed something I never believed possible in Nigeria. Every day we learn. I never thought it existed in the dictionary of my beloved country, which is selflessness, and it would be deeply regrettable, incredibly unfortunate, if I didn't acknowledge it.'
