Private school owners under the aegis of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools have said they weren’t ready to convert their facilities to isolation centres.

This is as the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 on Thursday said the Federal Government would require hotels and school dormitories as quarantine and isolation centres because of a shortage of hospital beds.

He said, “We need to continue increasing bed capacity to match the probable number of patients so that we do not experience horrific scenes of bed space shortages seen in some European hospitals. The President of NAPPS, Chief Yomi Otubela, said before the health minister suggested the idea, they had already rejected it.
