Nottingham Forest have beaten Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-3 on penalties to advance to the semifinals of the Carabao Cup after a 90 minutes 1-1 draw at City Ground on Wednesday.
Forest scored first in the 18th minute and held the lead up until the 64th minute before Wolves forward, Raul Jimenez, levelled the scoreline in the 64th minute, dragging Forest into a penalty shootout.
Ruben Neves of Wolves and Sam Surridge of Forest both missed their first penalties but Forest quickly picked up netting in all the other four shootouts, with Wolves getting only three behind Forest’s gallant goalkeeper.
