Former Real Madrid striker Gareth Bale is set to make his debut in a forthcoming golf tournament, popularly called PGA Tour, weeks after retiring from football.
Bale will be among the 156 amateurs participating at Pebble Beach alongside US Open golf champion Matt Fitzpatrick
He announced his retirement from football earlier in January as Wales’ most-capped male player and record men’s goalscorer. Bale, a five-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, fell out of favour with the Spanish giants when he was pictured with a banner that read ‘Wales.Golf.Madrid.
