Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Saturday, appealed to the Federal Government to come to the aid of the state government in
tackling the menace of perennial flooding in parts of the state, leading to loss of lives and property.
DAILY POST reports that a heavy rainfall between Thursday night and Friday morning led to flooding in the area, leading to the collapse of the Gadan Maiwa, rafin malka with two persons feared to have lose their lives in the flooding. Many houses and farmlands were also destroyed. “We have challenges in almost all parts of the state as a result of heavy rain. The state government will do all drainages in all the local government areas in state, while the Federal Government should do all those in the town,” the governor said.
