Zaccheus Adedeji, Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), has dismissed speculations surrounding his potential candidacy for the Oyo State governorship seat in the 2027 election. Adedeji, despite being touted as a possible successor to Governor Oluseyi Makinde, emphasized his focus on his current role at FIRS and requested to be left alone to concentrate on his tax responsibilities.
Amid endless speculations, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS , Zaccheus Adedeji , has ruled out plans to contest the Oyo State governorship seat in the 2027 general election. Adedeji said he was only interested in his current job as the Executive Chairman of FIRS , despite being tipped by some political elements in Oyo, his home state, as Governor Oluseyi Makinde's successor.
