Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has pardoned 42 inmates and granted bail to 27 others to mark a hundred days in office.

They were released based on

recommendation of the Advisory Council on the Prerogative of Mercy to decongest correctional centers across the state. State Chief Judge, Justice Hapsat Abdulrahaman, who led Jail Delivery Committee, also convicted 2 inmates out of 203 attended to by the committee. Amongst those convicted and sentenced to five years imprisonment each were two suspects who confessed to the alleged offences of which they were remanded for.
