Chris Danjuma's side won 1-0 against South Korea in their opening encounter on Monday. Flourish Sabastine netted a late second half goal to give Nigeria all three points against the Asian country. Sabastine scored the decisive goal four minutes from time following an assist from substitute Chukwuamaka Goodness Osigwe.

'First and foremost, I want to congratulate the girls for the beautiful game they played against the South Koreans,' Omale told
. 'What Nigerians were expecting from the game was a victory from the Falconets. They did very well and committed themselves into the game and I'm impressed with their performance.
