The federal government has postponed the date for the collection of national honour award certificates and medals.In a statement on Tuesday, Ibiene Roberts, permanent secretary, ministry of special duties and intergovernmental affairs, said a new date will be communicated to the awardees in due course.
“The soft copies should be sent to the following e-mail addresses: [email protected], [email protected] in the following format: “Biodata — title, surname, other names, gender, phone no, email, state of origin and address.“Citation and biography — early life, educational qualifications, career/achievements, personal life hobbies etc.) and passport photograph.”Emeka Anyaoku, former commonwealth secretary-general, is the sole person nominated for Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger .
Those listed for the award of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic are Godwin Emefiele, governor of Central Bank of Nigeria ; Hadi Sirika, minister of aviation; and Bisi Akande, a former governor of Osun state.
