The federal government has inaugurated a transparency committee to improve good governance and enhance public whistle blower policy.

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation on Monday issued a statement announcing the inauguration of the committee in Abuja by the Accountant General of the Federation Idris Ahmed. Minister of Finance and National Planning Zainab Ahmed had on the 4th of July, 2018 presented a memo to the Federal Executive Council for approval to establish the Financial Transparency Guidelines and Open Treasury Portal.

Zainab Ahmed then constituted the Quality Assurance and Compliance Committee with membership drawn from MDAs.
