FG Inaugurates Committee on Internal Security, Community Policing via thisdaylive

The federal government has inaugurated a committee on strengthening internal security framework and community policing in Nigeria.

The SSG, Boss Mustapha, who inaugurated the 14-man committee Tuesday, implored the members to come up with new innovate and pragmatic ways of resolving the nation’s security challenges and enthrone a robust culture of community policing. The SGF noted that the setting up of the committee was sequel to a report of the Senior Executive Course 40 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies , Kuru, Jos on the rising insecurity in the country.

“The recommendations of the report you are going to study is a result of painstaking research, study and comparative analysis. The report was based on broader consensus and that is why government deems it necessary to priotise the study of its recommendations for implementation,” Mustapha said.
