The Federal Government has inaugurated a 2.12 kilometer road reconstructed at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Handing over the project constructed by the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing to the university management, on Thursday, the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, said President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari , was committed to fixing every sector of the national life to address infrastructural gap.
The minister, who was represented by the Federal Controller of Works, Femi Oyekanmi, also said the road would improve the learning environment in the university. “Quality education will be impacted by the quality of infrastructure and the learning environment and those who doubt it should simply listen to some of the feedback from students in the schools where this type of intervention has taken place,” he added.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor of UNN, Prof. Charles Igwe, said the road would add value to learning and research in the institution, adding that the school needed more of such interventions to improve seamless academic pursuits. All rights reserved.
