FG approves West Midlands Open University for oneline degrees
In a statement, the university announced that it has received licensing and formal approval from the National University Commission to offer degree-granting programmes online in Nigeria.
It explained that online education had become an essential tool in today’s rapidly changing world and the West Midlands group was not a newcomer to the edutech industry. “WMOU will be leading the way in making top-notch education accessible via the internet,” it further said.The founder of West Midlands Open University, High Chief Adebayo Akande, said, “The University plans to catalyse national development and global competitiveness by utilising sustainable technologies and high-quality programs to provide training and education to learners.”
The statement stated that WMOU would offer a comprehensive range of high-quality programmes, including undergraduate programmes and short learning programme certification courses all of which will be delivered online.
