The Minister of Transport, Chibuike Amaechi has announced a 100% increment in train fare for the Abuja to Kaduna service.Train services are currently shut down as one of the government’s measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.Before the COVID-19 lockdown, travellers paid N3,000 for first class express trips, while normal first-class trip was N2,500.Amaechi’s announcement means that travellers should now prepare to pay double of whatever trip they enjoy.
