To ensure the construction of standard public toilets in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the FCT Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Directorate (RUWASSA)

has disengaged the services of its project consultants on public conveniences in the territory due to some infractions and lapses observed in the terms of engagements since November 2021.The head of media and publicity, FCT RUWASS, Karo Sani Bala, in a statement, said the letter of disengagement was addressed to the managing director of Kamsimi Enterprises, Mr. Christopher Iorfa, on June 1, 2023, and signed by the executive director, FCT RUWASSA, Dr. M. A. Dan-Hassan.

He said the directorate expressed disappointment that the firm has failed to consummate and execute the requisite terms of engagement between the two parties, leading to poor coordination and management of the Project. According to the statement, it was against this backdrop, RUWASSA withdrew the earlier offer of engagement made to Kamsimi Enterprises, and with this development, the firm cannot act for or on behalf of RUWASSA in anything relating to the public Convenience Project and other matters in the FCT.

Bala stated that the FCT RUWASSA also disengaged the services of Messrs S.Y. Engineering Ltd, who was also its project consultant on public conveniences due to some infractions and lapses observed in the terms of engagements since November 2021.
