Farmers/herders clashes: NSCDC inaugurates agro-rangers unit in Ebonyi
The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps on Tuesday inaugurated its Agro-Rangers unit to check farmers and herders clashes in the state.
“They have been specially trained to provide security to agro-allied facilities, agro allied-based industries, investments and ranches nationwide. She sought assistance from the state government and well-meaning individuals to ensure optimal performance from the agro-rangers. “This aims at providing adequate security to farmers, herdsmen and other citizens of the state as we have put a lot of machinery in place for peaceful co-existence between farmers and herdsmen.
He pledged to look into the requests of the NSCDC as regards the agro-rangers as the government would ensure that they succeeded in the onerous task.
