The fine jewellery maison has partnered with Tim Burton and costume designer Colleen Atwood on a kooky collection that celebrates the 1980s cult phenomenon and its upcoming sequel.
The 1980s are widely considered to be the golden age of horror comedies, with The Rocky Horror Show, Little Shop of Horrors, Ghostbusters and Gremlins just a few of the hit movies that captivated audiences with a mix of scares and satire. Arguably the most iconic, however, was Beetlejuice.
“Together with his large team of co-creators, Peter Carl brought a whole new layer of wit, humour and imagination,” she explains. “The pieces were also cleverly hand-engineered, employing the best workmasters in each of their specialisms but really pushing the boundaries of what could be achieved with precious, and often very unusual, materials.
