Ottawa police deployed more resources in hopes of finding a 35\u002Dyear\u002Dold man who has been missing since Thursday morning.
She said Thursday morning was just like any other morning. A nurse at the Civic Hospital, she left for work around 6:30 a.m. and Brett was getting their two-year-old son, Franklin, up and ready for daycare. He dropped the boy off at daycare but he didn’t show up at the 4 p.m. pickup. He wasn’t answering his phone.
Friends and family found Brett’s bike off a path behind their neighbourhood, about one kilometre from his home. They also found his sweater, a pillow and a bag.“We’re just hoping that someone, somewhere has seen him,” Becky said. Brett, an accountant who was born and raised Ottawa, is head of treasury at Shopify. He, like his co-workers at the tech company, now works exclusively from home.Article content
