Extend cooperation, support to incoming administration — Obaseki urges Edo people

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, on Sunday, urged the people of the state to accord the incoming administration of Senator Monday Okpebholo the kind of cooperation and support given to his administration.

DAILY POST reports that Governor Obaseki 's eight years in office would come to an end on November 12, 2024, after the swearing-in of Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Governor-elect of the state. Okpebholo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the September 21, 2024 governorship, defeated the candidate of the outgoing governor's Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Asue Ighodalo, at the election.

'As we are transiting into a new administration, I urged each and every one of you in the name of God to extend the level of cooperation and support to my administration to the incoming administration. 'Let us continue to work together towards a brighter future for Edo State and Nigeria and we have no other country.
