Former national chairman of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD) branch of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Lucky Osesua; his
deputy, Dayyabu Yusuf Garga, and one Humble Obinna have been remanded at Keffi Correctional Facility in Nasarawa State.
The NUPENG president and general secretary were said to have accompanied the new PTD national chairman, Comrade Egbon, and other members of his executive to the union’s national secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday at the end of a special delegates conference for the PTD branch of NUPENG in Ibadan where Comrade Egbon and others emerged as national officers of PTD- NUPENG.
He stated: “At the end of the peaceful elections new leaders emerged for the Petroleum Tanker Drivers Branch of NUPENG and in line with the tradition and practices of the union, on the day after the elections, Wednesday, 1st November 2023, the president of the union, Comrade Williams Akporeha, and the general secretary of the union, together with the chairman of the caretaker committee set up after of the court dissolution of the former executive, decided to escort six principal officers of the...
