A former Governor of Niger State, Dr. Babangida Aliyu has urged Nigerians to be their brothers’ keeper.
He stated this while felicitating with Muslims across the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid Adha festival with a call on them .
Aliyu, who addressed thousands of people that witnessed the ceremony on Saturday, called on residents of Niger State to support Governor UmarBago whom he described as youth and energetic to reposition Niger State to an enviable heights amongst all the 36 others making up the country. “I felicitate with Muslim Ummah across the world, particularly in Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid Adha, a festival of sacrifice as commanded by Allah on all Muslims to carry out. We should thank Allah for seeing this day and we pray to see many of it. We should also learn to be satisfied with what God has done to us for this Sallah.
“As we celebrate this auspicious event, let us be our brothers keeper, support the needy, be security conscious and above all love one another. As muslim, we must support the government of the day, we must always support the governments in our neighbourhoods and in our communities .
