This new suggestion would be the natural next step in giving each planet more uniqueness rather than just being a soulless battleground to fight against the Automatons and Terminids. IPs such as Star Wars have shown that fans can become emotionally attached to a planet, with Coruscant, Tattooine, and Bespin being among the most notable in the franchise. In Star Wars, the Ewoks are native to the planet Endor and were featured in Return of the Jedi.
