He also compared Greenwood with former Man United striker, Robin van Persie after the 17-year-old impressive display against Astana.
Greenwood scored the only goal of the match in the 73rd minute to ensure Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side got all three points against the visitors at Old Trafford.“Every time he touched the ball there was a purpose to it, he didn’t try and force things, he took what was there. “For a young kid at 17 to have that composure in the box, he had a picture of what he wanted – come in on the left foot, chop, like Van Persie, a good finish. That’s a top player, he’s going to be a top player.”
