Residents of Esan West Council in Edo State have received free medical services offered by Edo State government. The state Commissioner for Health, Prof. Obehi Akoria, while briefing journalists after the outreach, said the programme was part of efforts by the Governor Godwin Obaseki administration to improve the wellbeing of Edo people.
Akoria said beneficiaries received world-class healthcare services from over 200 volunteers and professionals in different areas of medical practice, including internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, child health, obstetrics and gynaecology , nursing, laboratory science, pharmacy, health promotion/education and community health, among others.
She said: “We are glad with the huge success recorded at the just-concluded medical outreach organised by the government for residents of Esan West.
