The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has called on residents of Ibeju-Lekki and Lekki environs to work towards the eradication of domestic and sexual violence.

The Executive Secretary of DSVA, Mrs Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, made the call, according to a statement on Wednesday, during a sensitisation programme held in Ibeju-Lekki.

Vivour-Adeniyi, who was represented by the agency’s Head of Community Engagement, Mr Damilare Adewusi, noted that the DSVA has renewed its efforts in its advocacy against domestic and sexual violence through the engagement of more residents of Local Government and Local Council Development Areas across the state.

She said, “The objectives of the programme are to educate residents of Ibeju-Lekki, Lekki and environs on evolving gender roles; promote positive masculinity and feminism among men and women; enlighten them on non-violent approach to conflict and the need to have mutual respect for one another among others.
