Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has suggested Tottenham fans need a dose of relegation to appreciate the club’s standing in the league.
Spurs fans are calling for the head of the club’s chairman, Daniel Levy, over the club’s current turmoil. The club recently sacked Cristian Stellini to put Ryan Mason in charge of the first team till the end of the season. Jordan is calling on the supporters to get real with their expectations of the club, with Spurs fifth in the table and just four points away from a top-four finish despite their struggles.“Because you’ve got a football club like Aston Villa who are equally as big a club, they’ve won a European Cup, they got relegated, came back to the Premier League and they’ve got a fanbase that appreciates where they are now in the league,” Jordan said.
