EPL: Van Persie names striker Man Utd should have signed instead of Ighalo
Former Manchester United striker, Robin van Persie, has told the club to make a bid for Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani.The 32-year-old was heavily linked with both United and Chelsea in the January market, but ended up staying with the Ligue 1 champions., who will join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad for training this week.
During a Q&A session with his Twitter followers on Monday afternoon, Van Persie was asked which which player the club should sign.Cavani’s agent and brother, Walter Guglielmone, recently admitted that the player would have gone to the Premier League if he wanted more money.“Atletico could not cover the total economic cost of the operation and PSG did not want to lower the amounts he was asking for.
