Former AS Monaco striker, Victor Ikpeba has told the leadership of Chelsea under Todd Boehly that manager Graham Potter’s sack won’t solve the club’s problem this season.Potter was sacked as Chelsea manager on Sunday night after the team’s Premier League 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.
“It’s unfortunate [that Graham Potter was sacked]. In football, it is about results. When you look at the timelines, the statistics from when he [Potter] took over, you cannot argue that the players are not doing enough,” Ikpeba said. “You have a lot of attacking players in the team. Joao Felix, who came from Atletico Madrid, you can’t question his creativity, but he’s not a player that can score two digits goals for you. They just bought these players from everywhere.
