Former Arsenal star, Emmanuel Petit, has urged the Gunners to sign a new striker, winger and midfielder before the summer transfer window closes at the end of the month. Petit believes the three key areas would increase their chances of winning the Premier League this season ahead of Manchester City.
Arsenal retained David Raya on a permanent deal after loan spell last season and signed Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna and Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad. However, Petit feels Mikel Arteta's side still need to make three crucial signings.
'Arsenal need to add more players in the squad to win the Premier League and Manchester City are still the standard they have to reach. They have added Savinho, who looks brilliant and is still the team to beat,' Petit said . 'I think this year will be the one for Arsenal, they've continuously improved for years and on the current trajectory, the gap between Arsenal and Manchester City will be barely anything.
