Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has said his former side have a clear run at the Premier League title, following their 2-0 win at Tottenham on Sunday.They are also nine clear of Newcastle United and Manchester United after 18 games.Merson believes Mikel Arteta’s men now have their destiny in their own hands.“If Man United go and beat Crystal Palace away [on Wednesday night], which I do expect them to do, then they’re six points behind Arsenal.
“If Arsenal win the game, Man United are out of the equation and it’s Man City changing them down,” Merson said on Sky Sports. He added: “Arsenal go out to win football matches and Tottenham go not to lose football matches. That’s why it’s a 14-point difference. “I don’t think [they will make top four], I’m just being honest. Liverpool and Chelsea will still come – don’t think they will keep playing like this.”
