Former Tottenham Hotspur defender, Alan Hutton has warned Manchester United that their new ‘Cristiano Ronaldo rule’ might be difficult to implement at Old Trafford.where no player in the present squad would be paid over £200,000 per week salary.
Man United goalkeeper David De Gea is set to be impacted by the rule soon as he is currently on a deal that sees him earn £375,000 per week salary. Speaking to Football Insider, Hutton believes it would be hard for Man United to implement the ‘Ronaldo rule’ because every player needs to buy into it.
