Former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has told former Premier League champions, Chelsea to sell defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer.
According to the former Premier League striker the Senegal national team captain is not the same player he was before he was bought from Napoli and does not fit the role.
The Blues brought in Koulibaly from Napoli last summer, following the departure of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger to Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. However, the 31-year-old, who was the main man at Napoli, has failed to show the same level of performance at Stamford Bridge.“The Koulibaly they thought they were getting is not the same player they’ve brought in. He’s not the same player he was at Napoli,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s not as quick as I thought he would be. He just looks very old and in pain when he’s playing – he doesn’t look like a top defender at all. It would suit both club and player for Koulibaly to be moved on this summer.”
