Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reacted to David de Gea’s departure from the club.
De Gea confirmed he has left the Manchester based club after 12 years and 545 appearances for the Red Devils.According to the Dutchman, it only takes great quality and character to reach the level the 32-year-old attained at Old Trafford. The goalie was voted Player of the Year awards from both the fans and his team-mates on four occasions and Ten Hag said this shows the level of his performance.
“I am personally grateful for the 25 clean sheets he helped provide last season and his overall contribution on the pitch during my first year at the club,” he said.
