The Enugu State government on Tuesday, warned that schools, markets and shops in the various markets that failed to open and function normally on account of observing the illegal sit-at-home order from July 4, 2023 will be shut down indefinitely. This was contained in a state government Public Service Announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia. It described the illegal one-week sit-at-home order declared by self-acclaimed agitator, Simon Ekpa, as unacceptable, saying it would not be observed in the state.
