Enugu records 4th confirmed COVID-19 case
The Enugu State Government has announced another confirmed case of coronavirus, bringing the number of the cases in the state to four.
The Commissioner for Health, Prof. Ikechukwu Obi made the disclosure in a statement on Saturday in Enugu.“Recently this person travelled back to Enugu on the April 22, took ill subsequently and reported to a mission hospital in the state. “The staff of the hospital alerted the state COVID-19 response team days later and samples were taken on April 29, which turned out positive on Friday, May 1,” he said.According to the commissioner, this new case is not a contact of the third case and the four cases reported in the state have had positive travel history.
He added that the state Ministry of Health had continued to advise the public to adhere to all precautionary measures to avoid contracting the virus.“The numbers are 08182555550 or 09022333833, or the NCDC number 080097000010, If I do these, I protect you and if you do these, you protect me.
