Following the spate of insecurity in Enugu State, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has summoned emergency security meetings of stakeholders with the leadership of the Nigerian Army. The meetings are scheduled to hold on Saturday, at different times. Those expected at the meeting include stakeholders at the state and local government levels. They also include clerics, traditional rulers and youths.

"According to the statement, the meeting will hold in Enugu North Senatorial District at Nsukka Local Government Council Headquarters, by 9am.For Enugu West Senatorial District, the meeting will hold at Awgu Local Government Council Headquarters by 11am, while for Enugu East, the meeting will hold at Nkanu West Local Government Council Headquarters by 2pm.
