The Director – General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Mining Cadastre Office , Engr. Obadiah Simon Nkom has emerged the President –Elect of the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society .
The DG was elected at the just concluded 55th Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society’s Annual International Conference and Exhibitions, in Enugu State, with the Theme “Maximising Mineral and Energy Resources for Industrialisation”, which held between Monday 18th to Friday 22nd, 2019. The NMGS, since creation seeks to affirm the rights of Geoscientists and Mining Engineers in Nigeria and also raise awareness among members across the country to harness and develop the abundant mineral resources in Nigeria for economy development.
Engr. Nkom who is appointed as Director – General of the Nigerian Mining Cadastre Office by the President and Commander In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federation of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, will be assuming the President of NMGS by 1st April, 2019.
