He equally called on the governors to also find a solution to acts of kidnapping for ransom ongoing along Abuja-Kaduna highway and activities of armed gunmen in North-West and North-Central States of the country.
“I also want to call on the federal government to do all it can to effect the release of Leah Sharibu, Alice Ngaddah and other captives that are still held by Boko Haram so that they can reunite with their families,” he maintained. The Northern CAN leader tasked Christians to use the period of Good Friday and Easter to reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ that has given the people hope of a better tomorrow despite their current fears and challenges in life.
Addressing Christian faithful, he said, “I urge all Christians in Northern Nigeria and the entire country to use the season of Easter celebrations to show love to the less privileged in their communities, by sharing gifts to the needy, especially widows and orphans.” Pam used the occasion to call on all Nigerians to reflect the life of Jesus Christ in their dealings with fellow citizens for the return of lasting peace in all parts of the country.
