Governor Udom Emmanuel has bagged an international Award on Private Sector Participation in Governance and Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) in Akwa Ibom State.
The award was presented to the governor in the United Kingdom, during the award dinner at the just-concluded London political summit.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Ini Ememobong, who represented the governor at the award presentation ceremony, said the governor was honoured for his tireless efforts at expanding the public governance space for more private sector participation. Ememobong affirmed that Emmanuel has, through the measure, attracted huge FDI to the state in the areas of aviation, syringe production, agriculture and agro allied sectors of the economy, among others.
