The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has expressed concerns over minors' detention following the August 1 #Endbadgovernance protest.
Sanusi made these remarks on Wednesday during a visit to the minors at the Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital in Kano, where they are being rehabilitated after their release. He added that the treatment the minors received was “sad,” but thanked the federal government and the presidency for their timely intervention in securing their release.The Emir also urged the authorities to target the adults responsible for starting the riot, noting that the individuals behind the violence in Kano had been photographed and were still seen walking freely in public, including in Abuja.
