The Nation Newspaper Embrace negotiations, Fed Govt tells aviation workers
The Federal Government has urged aviation workers to shun strike and embrace dialogue to resolve disputes. Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole, said this at the post May Day Conference organised by the Joint Consultative and Negotiating Council of the ministry in Abuja.
The chairman, Joint Consultative and Negotiating Council, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Hector Nnadi, assured the permanent secretary of the workers support.Nnadi said the unions were open to the government giving priorities to the needs and welfare of workers. “Every worker in Nigeria is not happy. I will not blame it on the present government. I will blame it on the government of Nigeria overtime. We are a nation that doesn’t plan and that is why we have found ourselves where we are today.
