Elisha Abbo: NMA condemns increasing spate of gender-related violence in Nigeria
The Nigeria Medical Association has described as worrisome the increasing spate of gender related violence in the country.
DAILY POST reports that, Senator Abbo is in the eye of the storm for attacking and beating up a woman who tried to prevent him and others with him from assaulting another woman in a sex toy shop in Abuja.The NMA national committee chairman while condemning the act also lamented on the increasing rise in the incidence of rapes, incest and assault.
“Rape and sexual exploitation in churches, academic institutions and home speaks volume of how our society is becoming lawless. I call on all well-meaning citizens to rise to the occasion and do what is necessary to stop this ugly menace in our society.
