Election: Why armed robbery, kidnapping cases have increased in Kogi – Ex Gov. Olafemi
According to him, kidnapping and armed robbery cases got increased immediately after the Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.
He pointed out that it was unfortunate that after the election, those youths armed with weapons now resulted in kidnapping and armed robbery in other to meet up with their needs. “Election in a democratic setting must be free, fair and credible. Elections are no longer popular votes, politicians have bastardized the system.
He, therefore, called on the security agents in the state to wade in and make sure that those in possession of illegal arms in the state were arrested.
