The government of Ekiti says it is developing a tourism master plan to improve the lot of the sector and boost the overall economy of the state.

“There were some kidnappings, but things have been contained for the past six months. There was kidnapping in the northern part of Ekiti, that is where we share boundaries with Kogi. Kogi is the home of kidnappers. We share about three borders with Kogi. Also speaking on the situation in the area, Sharafa Lanre Balogun, general manager at Glocient Hospitality, assured visitors “that security is top-notch” in Ikogosi resort.
