Ekiti Assembly passes Social Protection Bill
The Ekiti House of Assembly has passed the Social Protection Bill 2020 aimed at ensuring that children and vulnerable persons in the state have access to basic social services and infrastructure.Mrs Olubunmi Adelugba, the Chairman of the Joint Committees on Finance and Appropriation, Women Affairs, Trade and Investments and Judiciary and Legal Matters, submitted her committee’s report to members of the Assembly which consequently adopted it.
NAN reports that the assembly also committed to its Committee on Judiciary and Legal Matters the Ekiti Law Reform Commission Bill 2020 for further legislative scrutiny.
