An All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Mr Kayode Ojo, has appealed to members of the party to close ranks in
Ojo, who spoke in Ikoro Ekiti, in Ijero Council Area, on Monday, said the outcry that trailed Saturday’s APC ward congresses was uncalled for.
He said, “Ahead of the 2022 governorship election, the leadership of our great party needs to ensure unity among members. The APC will be doing itself a great danger approaching the poll with a divided house.” He advised that governorship aspirants should be given a level playing ground at the primaries, adding, “any attempt to impose unpopular candidates on the people of Ekiti would be a great failure”.
